Our approach to care is three pronged, all working hand-in-hand to address the mind, body, and soul of each individual patient.
Psychiatry
As a baseline to all BH care, we work with board certified Physicians (MD/DO), Physician Assistants (PA-C), and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners (PMHNP-BC) to address pharmacological and non pharmacological approaches to each patient.
Psychotherapy/Counseling/Clinical Directorship
A multitude of certified therapists (PsyD, LCSW, LPC, LSAC) and Behavioral Health Technicians (BHT) allow for extended services beyond the provider. This staff is specifically trained in adapting the therapies to the patients in each service location.
Neurology
Providing this specialty, bedside if needed, allows for better evaluation and management of all BH patients. This service bundled with the above baselines of care encompasses better efforts and resources to the management of behavioral disturbances, dementia and memory care related diseases, Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), and Serious Mental Illness (SMI) as well as better diagnosis and clinical guidance for a multitude of acute and chronic conditions.
All three of these sub-specialties collaborating within Behavioral Health allow Arizona Total Care to affect change in these four vectors:
1. A fast response to referrals, cutting down wait times typically ranging from 3-6 months in the Outpatient Setting.
2. Provider accessibility for in person care. Virtual care as needed.
3. In-depth consult that will allow for better management of patients at the lowest level of care possible.
4. Clinical oversight and collaboration between Behavioral Health and Primary to reduce hospital readmission rates (RTA)
